TMS for Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) uses electromagnetic induction to excite or inhibit groups of neurons in the brain (see http://goo.gl/ZRlz and video). While TMS has been used to treat various disorders such as depression (http://goo.gl/Myc1Wp), there is recent evidence suggesting that TMS may also be beneficial for treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (http://goo.gl/8QzLQe, but see http://goo.gl/cdeovt).
