Science on Google+ was founded in 2012 by practising scientists. Our primary goal being to create a database is to make it easier for people to connect with scientists, science journalists, science teachers (K-12), and science pages on Google+. We curated 18 streams (‘circles’) of physical, natural and social scientists.
Our Science on Google+ community was moderated by scientists, for all people interested in science, both professionals and the general public. The primary goal of this community is to bring real scientists to the public, for science outreach. A secondary and long-term goal is to create an environment that fosters interdisciplinary collaborations; thus, enabling and promoting cloud collaboration between scientists. See Guidelines and Rules section for additional details.
